BONUS: Caregivers, Superheroes Without Capes - Tanya's Personal Journey
Caretaking when you work full time, and for multiple people in very different ways, for very different reasons, is not easy. From making the time to support them, to staying present at work or for your children, or understanding the myriad of ways to leverage your various health insurance, disability, or long term care benefits, if your loved one is even eligible or has access to that support.
Caretaking is not for the faint of heart and Tanya Wasielewski knows this first hand, many times over. In today’s episode we hear Tanya’s multiple caretaking stories over the last two decades while she raised her son and held down a full time demanding job, in surprisingly disability insurance. It’s not easy to navigate this complicated and complex world of long term care and disability, but we can learn from folks from Tanya, and grab a little bit of her wisdom.
